Unfortunately,the image below is not a great photograph. Normally, I would have rejected it immediately.
But, after I loaded the image into Lightroom, I discovered that I had also captured a beautiful kangaroo bounding in the background. When I snapped the shot, I was focusing on the flying crane. The intriguing part is that I never even saw the kangaroo when I was taking the shot. My camera lens faithfully captured the moment, but, on the day, poor Skippy escaped my attention completely. Such little surprises are yet another reason why I love photography.
